2015 – The 2015 'Sirocco' is possibly one of the best Chardonnays we have produced from our Lenswood vineyard. Drink now or over the next 5-8 years. Typical Adelaide Hills white peach, grapefruit and cashew characters with hints of struck match, cream and mineral in the background.
Summary: The Adelaide Hills is one of the premier Chardonnay producing regions in Australia and this wine does no harm at all to that reputation. Drink now or over the next 5-8 years. Great with Chinese style Pork Belly or the humble roast chook.
Pike & Joyce Pinot Gris 2017

The palate is medium bodied possessing stone fruit mentioned above and some mineral/stony textures that gently wash over the mid palate providing length and interest. Balanced acidity ensures the wine does not finish fat or heavy.
Summary: The Adelaide Hills region has proven to be well suited to growing Pinot Gris successfully. This is the 12th release of the Pike & Joyce version and we think one of the best. It is still one of the best white wines to pair up with spicy Asian food. Drink now and the next 3-5 years.

Pike & Joyce Rapide Pinot Noir 2017
Aroma: Bright strawberry, red cherry and raspberry fruits with just a hints of damp undergrowth and forest floor there in the mix too. Typical Pinot.
Palate: Although light in body, the palate has lovely depth of the red fruits mentioned above, fine tannins and balanced acidity. Lush & plush finish.

Aromatics: Lifted tropical fruit with floral notes.
Palate: A slight spritz on the palate provides an effervescent burst of bright tropical fruit. Nice crisp acid finishes off the luscious fruit driven palate.
Pike & Joyce Gruner Veltliner 2017
Aroma: Subtle, earthy aromas of root vegetables, crushed nettles and some peppery characters are evident – maybe some citrus notes in the mix too.
Palate: The palate is quite soft, almost creamy in texture with the nettle/pepper characters doing most of the talking here. It is light to medium bodied with quite crisp acidity and finishes pleasantly dry.
Summary: Pike & Joyces 5th release of this distinctive Austrian varietal and again it is an encouraging one. Drink now and over next 2-5 years. Try it with green peppercorn chicken - no problem to handle a little spice.
Geoff Merrill Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2009 (Under Cork)
Deep red with brick red hues.
The aroma is intense and complex displaying the beginnings of bottle development. It is strongly earthy and menthol with some licorice, chocolate and soy notes.
The palate is smooth and chocolaty with a ripe fruit warmth.
Very well integrated oak plus firm fruit tannins provides a fine, almost hidden underlying structure which slowly reveals itself on the finish.
Impeccably balanced acidity brings the wine together seamlessly and ensures longevity and a broad range of food matches. Medium to long term cellaring.
