Tempranillo is a personal fave of mine. I call it the "all rounder". It will work well with all kinds of cuisine whether it's lasagna, pizza and dishes with tomato-based sauces, polenta and dishes with corn as a major ingredient and mexican food such as tacos, nachos and burritos.
